  • what core 2 quad processors support vista x64 bit

  • any processor with the phrase "core 2" in it will work with any of the Vista x64 editions, or even the rare Windows XP x64 edition, so long as you meet the other requirements.

  • So can you install Vista 64 without the need for a previous OS-64 bit like XP PRO? Like when you are building a new computer with nothing in the hard drive?

  • most systems come with a copy of some operating system installed on them, but as long as you set your BIOS of your system up to look for a boot image on the cd/dvd or bootable floppy drive before looking on the hard disk, you can install an operating system onto it from scratch, or over top of an existing one (which you need to be careful about, it will overwrite pretty much everything when it does this usually).

  • do u have to partition?

  • most likely almost all quad core form intel support 64bit

  • It's a Core 2 Duo. That's clearly x64.

  • i checked i have 64 bit :)

  • That makes no sense you have a 64 bit but most likely have a 32 bit ?!?!?! which one is it? Do you even know what you are talking about?

  • yes it is ok.

  • it is okey to install vista 64bit to my vista 32bit pc 2gb of ram dual core 80gb hdd...?

  • 6GB of RAM on Vista 32 bit is complete waste, since the OS will only be able to use about half of it...
