Titfield Thunderbolt Preview (Model Version!)

I am currently building a model railway of the Camerton Branch (Somerset) also known as the 'Titfield Branch' as this is where the film was made.......I have been working on the station (Monkton Combe or 'Titfield')

why dont you make a thunderbolt locomotive and an old style coach like in thye film

Well the coach and loco in the version i have done are same as ones in the film. I have done a model of the coach that 'Lion' pulls in the film, but still on the look out for a kit of 'Lion' itself

oh great now you need to do animation for the road sceen and need a lion

Yeh still got a fair bit to do to that layout. Its all come to a halt at the moment due to other things coming up.

this is brilliant and im busy building a recreated coach similar to one for a replica of the tanfield railway coaches nos 1 and 2 and they are similar and its quite easy to make a model of lion from scratch just use a 14xx chassis with some cardboard and a dapol rocket tender and the jobs done
