the band is recorded but the guy singing "seal" is singing live. you can tell because at 2:28 he skips a line and gets the words wrong!

The line at 2:48 is different as well. In the studio version he says "i just don't know how else I'm gonna..."

Clearly he's not going to record an out of tune vocal to lip sync to when there's an in tune version on record. The video is just out of sync. He also gets his entry early at 2:28 and improvises to cover his mistake. Only vocal prerecorded would be when he doubles himself and self harmonises. Not sure whether any of the horns are playing though. They don't look like they're mic'd.

@shelyjoon Think Seal sung it live.. it's just cause the video is out. On the other version on youtube, it's fine.
