  • guys i work with do that every day from open play.

  • I guarantee they don't.Unlike Tornado the Dead Man space on the 2 Bar combined with the wider spacing of the 3 Bar on Garlando means that going around it with a shot from the middle man on the 3 is near impossible. The reason it is possible with the pull shot is the ability to both compress the the bumper and brush back on the ball at the same time. This is is very difficult to do,and in this case is done by one of the best players in the world.Still think your mates at work can do it?

  • How many times in a game are you gonna have the ball placed there perfectly? Rubbish.

  • lol, n00b alert.

  • lol no, that's some other guy's hand. Not even Billy could do that!

  • that is dead man on old type garlando without borders of the gates. i have done it on new model (2007) check my favorites

  • @shovie hahaha so true

  • hehe funny guy :)

  • Thats a cutback you're referring to I think. A deadman refers to going right to the very end of your players reach and hitting the ball square into the gap (i hope!).

  • maybe i'm just an old fart, but the deadman pull was a pull similar to this with an angle shot going the opposite direction. for example... if you're looking at the goal from behind the 3 man... you're pulling from left to right but the shot is an angle shot going from right to left. i knew guys that could hit the shot consistently about 70% of the time before the rollover was used.

  • pay attention to the bumper on the 3 men u actually have to pull really hard that you compress the bumper in order to shoot that shot. that requires a lot of power and accruacy to do it

  • jagiar's push is solid offence too

    thanx man!

  • the trick is to square it off at the end by pushing the rod back up, otherwise pulling the man by that distance the shot tends to be diagonal. I mostly perform the dead man push/pull from the side men on the 3-bar. Then you have the chance to pass it to the middle man if he is defending the gap, unless they are very good in which case some passing combinations is needed. I know billy is a very good player but I also know he has much better shot techniques up his sleeve.

  • for a pro to show you how easy it looks to do as in this video...it's actually hard to perform. I can totally see your point of view. just push that 2-rod all the way to the wall and try going around that guy. Someone will have to show you to understand.

  • O.k., with this last comment, I think you may be misinterpreting the shot. With his opponents two bar bumper on the wall, Billy is pulling a pull shot with the ball being shot on the OUTSIDE of the defender (i.e. the side towards you) by his middle man on the 3-bar. If you are not pulling it as much then it is impossible to get the ball around the defender ON THE OUTSIDE. If you ARE doing this the please post it, so we can learn from it.
