It's important to make a distinction between the clergy & the Church. The clergy are not the Church, they're just the officer class.

If you follow your priest's or your bishop's teaching, you are okay unless you know they are wrong. You can know they are wrong by having an informed conscience.

If you go by the MORAL teaching of the Pope you'll generally be safe.

@inDpendant Remember, most of the US government is Protestant (in name at least). Very few are Catholics. We're truly a minority in this godforsaken nation.

And we don't have dollar bills. What gave you any idea the RCC has her own currency aside from the treasure we store in Heaven. (I'd like to get my hand on some of these... PopeBucks.)

Besides, the NWO (Mr. Tinfoil Hat) seeks to contracept us to a manageable number of people. The RCC is the ONLY Christian church to oppose contraceptives.

@inDpendant That's quite a way to interpret it. Can I assume that every loud, orgasmic Baptist congregation participates in an orgy every Sunday, too? (You don't hear loud noises like that from people who are doing anything else.)

Or perhaps it is simply... that you are running away from your own gay-ness? The loudest critics of homosexuality - even where there is none to be found, as the case is here - are usually those who suffer from it and know they do. ;-)

@TheJazuma Actually, the Orthodox, our brothers in Christ, also have at least the deuterocanon, and usually more books. Now, since every Bible from about 400 AD to Protestantism contained AT LEAST the Deuterocanon, it seems to me that the Protestants do not even have the Bible of the minimalists (us, who have the fewest books of any Catholic or Orthodox canon). So if they do not even have THAT much of the Bible, how can they claim they have the fullness of truth?
