Mabel Chan champions women accountants

Mabel Chan is the President of the Association of Women Accountants (Hong Kong) as well as founder and senior partner of her own accounting firm, Mabel Chan & Co.

Mabel has recently taken on the presidency of the AWAHK, and in this interview she speaks about her plans for the AWAHK during her term as president. She says that she wants to promote the body's membership, foster closer relationships between members, and encourage social responsibility.

Ms Chan then discusses the changes she has seen in the accounting industry, and changes in the attitude towards women accounts before giving some advice to young people who want to break into the accounting industry.

There should be more female bosses. Especially in larger industries, it's traditionally been harder for women to get to these higher positions.
