I LOVE this type of dancing! I'm from Nebraska but I've never learned how to do this! I wish I knew how though, one of my friends now says he can teach me but I'm terrified and nervous!

The Hustle is a catchall name for several disco dances which were extremely popular in the 1970s and made popular in "Saturday Night Fever." The New York Hustle is very similar to the country swing though the country swing is a little less smooth and is obviously danced to country music instead of disco. So this dance here would be best described at "country swing" "Texas swing" or "western swing."

This is my niece and nephew. I taught them what I know. I grew up dancing with my daddy. I'm from Montana and Idaho so there were lots of places to practice. Then I married a Country Dance instructor. I love it. Good luck and keep practicing.
