crazy trucker

this happened on 12/13/07 on highway 67 bypass. i called 911 and they finally pulled him over after we went through three 911 areas. i later filed a complaint with one of the cities he tried to pass me by forcing me off the road even though i was doing the speed limit. when the cops caught up with him he drove for at least another mile before pulling over. the cop was miffed and said that the truck driver was "uncooperative". please note that he was not trying to pass me but force me off the road. he never got out of my lane. the guy was out of control. unfortunately local law enforcement cares not. so he's still out there. it's unlikely that i will ever see him again but i'm confident that he will kill someone one day. i was hoping that my video would get him off the road but local law enforcement cars NOT. shame on them.... i now have a vid camera with sound!

@commieplot The issue here is you told on yourself. Well the camera caught your omission. I don't condone tailgating car/truck & vice-versa. It does show the truck attempting to overtake you. The camera shows you doing a bit over 60 mph. As the trucker tries to pass, you sped up to get the plate. When the camera swings back across your speedometer, you're near 70 mph. That is accelerating, which pisses truckers off. Letting them pass would not have been a burden. & you're filming while driving?

@wolf9walker I commend you on your record. I admit I just broke into the business recently. Not to be full of myself, I am not sorta correct about my positives/negatives. I 'relocate' freight all over the lower 48, Mexico, Canada, (Cuba and Puerto Rico if they erected a bridge). The only thing I turn down in this business is my collar. I have tried (for kicks) to stop 79 grand @ 75mph w/o jaking on an open highway when I knew traffic was absent. Not a good feeling 'IF' I someone in front of me.

@townkevin59 Reporting him to the police is great. The downside to getting the company they drive for, this driver may 'own' their authority. Meaning they drive for themselves or own the company. Just let the proper authorities handle it.

We would like to say something here. It was pointed out to us but if one notices there is a 5 kmh change in speed fromt he first time the speed meter was shown to the second. This means that the video taper speed up on the truck. This makes this video bogus.

@emauriceharr There is no justification for any vehicle to tailgate. You are sorta right about positives/negatives, I choose this profession because I’m good at it (24yr no accidents) and I like to drive. There is a motto “I work to haul your goods, not take your crap” Stupid people in any vehicle is a danger to everyone, and when someone is behind any wheel, they should drive with common sense and courtesy as well obey laws. There are more stupid car drivers then truck drivers

In Texas we move over and let these truckers pass, because we are friendly, apparently you guys in Yankee-Ville have not developed that common courtesy. I don't blame the trucker, since in the video it looks like he was attempting to pass, then you sped up to prevent him from passing; furthermore, I drive a truck too, and if you had done that to me, I would have sent you into the wall. (i'm a Nascar fan) hence the wall :) i pressed dislike since i am a trucker too. Bye :)
