I will never forget the day that cold air arrived! I was in the middle of my sophomore year at Memphis State University. It actually started on Saturday, January 19, 1985 at about 3:00 pm. The 17th was on a Thursday and we were awaiting the arrival of the cold air. Saturday started as a mild, sunny day. I went to the Mphs Flea Market that morning. Came home about 1:00 pm, and about 3:00, suddenly dark, low clouds started coming from the north, then came the
north, and temps plunged!

Thank you so much for putting this up...I remember this like it was yesterday. Steve Raleigh was on KRON in San Francisco for many years. He's now at WCPO in Cincinnati.
