Coach Eric Maxwell of Southern High School (New Jersey) throwing a ball at one of his own players. Just another example of him taking his antics too far. Accidental or not, he should not have a job coaching athletes right now. We need role models.

Then you are saying the man is stupid. The floor is always DOWN. If he meant to hit the floor, then why throw it at head height across a court? he meant to hit her--the apology and the "letter" was done to mitigate the damage--what pathetic parents the girl must have, because it should have been "Southern's FORMER coach " by now--not the present one, I don't care if the man ate glass and shat gold bricks...well maybe if he shat gold...well..

Actually players DO get concussed from getting hit in the face. My daughter plays club and she put a girl in the hospital with a concussion during a practice, just by hitting her in the face--If you don't have players hitting hard enough to concuss anyone, then you must have pretty lousy hitters on your teams.

A mistake is something a person did not mean to do--the man has anger mgmt. issues and it looks like he is taking out on one person whatever he is so upset about. Dollars to donuts that if he is not still physically abusive he is verbally abusive. Like I said before if he did that to my daughter, I'd tear into him so ugly that a lost game would be the least of his worries. World War Z, baby.

It shows bad sportsmanship and he better be glad he did not do that to my child. Because I would have come out of the stands and they would have had to pull what was left of him out of my hands and he would not be coaching anymore--he might even not be able to walk any more. BANK on that.
