i am disapointed that there was no sequel set in the celestial plain. it seemed as if waka was promising me one with his "the journey isnt over yet" crap. also the fact he was holding a guardian sapling made me think there would be a sequel were you have to plant them around the CP to banish the evil from it.

lets face it, okamiden was okami 1.5, and we are all waiting for a real okami 2!

@LadyTimpani12 I felt it was more of a bittersweet ending. I mean... Amaterasu's leaving, and she probably won't see any of those people (in person, of course) again... but... everything is as it should be. The darkness has been defeated, and everyone is where they belong, doing what they love doing.
