Banana Malibu Rum: Banana Boat Song Tribal Dance

It has come to my attention there is serious question about the judging & validity of the contest. According to the winner, he was notified on Friday June 22 of finalist status. I wrote to all other contestants Monday the 26th & I have yet to be able to find one other single finalist notified on Friday, June 22. In addition, voting was still in progress on June 22nd, & the results of this vote was to determine 25% of the judging.

Questions: Why did Malibu Banana only notify one 'finalist'? Why did they notify ANYONE before the youtube voting was finished? Why does the winning video feature the same costume, shoes, glasses, & style of shooting as the Malibu Promo Vids, if 25% of the judging was to be determined on originality/creativity?

Why is Malibu the FIRST youtube contest to announce the finalists after they announce the winner?

Fun Facts about the making of the Banana Boat Song Tribal Dance:

All props & costumes are vintage finds from thrift stores & yard sales...

There were originally six different costumes with bongos & maraccas, but it became impossible to edit so many different themes, so we went with the veil & one dress...

This was a project to put a deadline on learning a more professional (& complicated!!!) editing system for my on-line comedy vids. And, I almost quit about fifty times.

Belly dancing moves are a throwback to my younger days dancing in a troupe in Western MA. The Sisters of Salome were together five years and we danced at festivals, parades, fairs, & parties throughout the summer season. It was a blast.

I am REALLY glad this video is FINALLY finished.
Really, really, really, really, really glad. Whew!
