Endurance (also called sufferance) is the ability for an animal to exert itself for a long period of time. In humans, it is usually used in aerobic or anaerobic exercise. The definition of 'long' varies according to the type of exertion - minutes for high intensity anaerobic exercise, hours or days for low intensity. Training for endurance can have a negative impact on the ability to exert strength unless an individual also undertakes resistance training to counteract this effect.[1]

I just talked to David today in Georgia. He is absolutly amazing. This man will do absolutly anything. He told us about his the hole he has in his heart. On the 31 he's going back to the doctor to see if the hole is gone. After surgery you're supposed to wait 6 months before you do anything straining. 2 months after his surgery he did a 250 mile bike race. He is amazing!

there actually is nothing healthy about running Ultras. Joints are fine, but soft tissue like GI tract doesn't deal well with pretty much anything over 100k or so, depending on conditions. Then again, life itself is a terminal disease.

Have fun with your cancer, or arthritis, or asthma, or obesity, or heart disease or whatever. People get sick. People get old. People die. You will too. At least this man lives his life on his own terms. Think about that next time your sitting in the office playing solitaire or on the couch watching Prison breka re-runs. Moron.
