CRKT Ichi 2" assisted opening

I just got this knife.... It's EXTREMLY sharp! I cut my finger tring to open the knife. It's kind difficult to open, and with a small knife like this makes it seem even more difficult because there is not much to hold on to while flicking the thumb stud.

I will find another EDC, but it's a neeet lil knife, with a very sharp tip and razor edge.

yeah its abit odd to open at first !!! the tension bar i took mine out just to make it a manual opener

I'll second those comments that say that the knife is very dangerous to open. If the spring assist only opens the knife half way because you haven't got the knack yet what happens is you instinctively take another poke at the thumb disc. This could be a huge mistake. If you miss you might hit the blade, which is CRKT sharp. You could easily put a huge cut right in you thumb. I bought it because I thought it was much bigger. It is teensy in real life....and as a result dangerous.

I own a standard Ichi but want another. However, the one on sale is assisted-opening (illegal in Canada); is it possible to remove the spring mechanism?

i have the exact same knife, but the paint or coating on the pocket clip wears off really fast. did you just get yours, or did i just get one with a bad clip?

i probably would buy it but its way small
