Ludvig van BEETHOVEN (17 December 1770-FOREVER) Symphony No.1 2nd movement. From : The European Archive ip-00818 BeG. Found on: Wenen Ph.Orch. Hi... Here is some images of the sky, landscaping and waves with Beethoven's sym. No.1 , 2 th movement. This symphony premiered April 2, 1800, in Vienna. Compared to other symphonies, this sym sounds the tamest.. However when it premiered, imagine have the audience reacted. After all, they were used to hearing the purely classical styles of Haydn & Mozart. Anyway, you may hear with strings leading this subdued section, gracefully ornamented the melody rises and sings with an austere pace. Its characteristics are upward leaps and repeated notes as fighter pilot in the sky. .... FEELING: sweeping/ graceful/ poignant. Tempo: Andante cantabile con moto (Slow-med.) Carl SCHUICHT conducting The Viena Philharmonic Orchestra. Thanks THE EUROPEAN ARCHIVE
