I still feel bad about it Bernie. The worst part is, I was loving the set. I was young and pished out my face and it seemed a good idea at the time. I never actually expected it to connect. I am truly sorry. By fuck, we had a great weekend right enough. Thats when festivals were great, when there was two stages and you didnt miss anyone ( no pun intended)

@iceonaboy Haha that's so weird i should find this. I was also at this gig in 1987 and one of the stories I remember telling people from that day was the plastic bottle of beer landing on the fretboard of the guitarist in the middle of his solo. I've told that story many a time and now I know who threw it!! Good on ya mate, your actions were the souce of much amusement to many I;m sure.

This gives me a chance to apologise for an act of madness. I was at this gig and being of unsound mind and under the influence of Don Cortez and lager, did throw a plastic bottle at Mr Marsden and unbelievably, considering my state, did hit his fret board during a particularly hot solo, thus ruining said solo. I am truly sorry Bernie. I WAS enjoying it and dont know what came over me. I was just a young fool and have had to live with the shame ever since, sleepless nights, broken marriage, sob!
