Experimenters Corner By; Lorrie Matchett....Keeping it simple & cheap....Energy transfer between the coils is around 100 milliamps or so depending on the distance and its resonance frequency. Wireless electricity transfer via magnetically coupled resonance.is based on using coupled resonance. Two coils that resonant at the same frequency tend to exchange energy efficiently and by winding them in a bifilar manner increase this efficiency.. This type of winding, invented by Nikola Tesla enhances the magnetic field which means more power transfer. In this setup, I used a fifteen volt d/c power pack and converted it into alternating current with a custom build electro-mechanical oscillator which resonates at about 20Khz...Higher oscillating frequencies / voltage, increases the energy transfer distance between the coils, yet to be experimented with...

The oscillating a/c magnetic field of the transmitting coil induces eddy currents, creating a magnetic field of its own within the aluminum sheet and in turn blocks the energy transfer to the adjacent coil...Most sheet metal materials such as aluminum, steel, iron, brass or copper will block the transfer of energy, but will other metals do the same? The challenge to all the experimenters is to improve on this design.... ( epowerplus@gmail.com ) Note: The aluminum sheet used in this video is .080", not as seen....my mistake.

  • cool, but can u give us a brief explanation about how it works?

& why did the aluminum plate blocked the energy transfer?

& must it be an aluminum plate to block or any other kind would do it?

last, thnx for the vid (f)

  • Please go back and read more info to the top right of this page, just added to answer your questions...

  • Thats pretty cool, but I would hate to know what that wireless electricity is doing to your brain if your too close 0.o

  • Question: Is the background music on this video cutting in and out. The reason I am asking because thats what it is doing on my computer. Please let me know if it ok on your end...

  • can we try other coils instead of bifilar?

also can u please throw some light on oscillator...

  • did you use a tuning capacitor to find their resonance?

  • i want to know specification of supply you used in experiment ?

and coil design :(number of turns , diameter of tube ,thickness of wire )

and u made resonance by capacitor bank or what ?

need this data to try make this experiment in my home

    and thanks for your advice

  • hey i am a high school student, im from spain and i want to do the same proyect you made, in a science fair, i already have the coils and the lamp, but i dont know waht is the thing under the coils with 2 wires:( 1 red and 1 black), and the thing on the right of the coil that looks like a cube...could you tell me a last thing? to where is conected the wire that gives power to the pricipal coil? thanks a lot... we need your answer please help us! pd: sorry for the bad english :)

  • phhhpt. and they told it wasn't possible. i dreamed of this when i was 10.

    laziness just slowed me down.

now, i dream of flying powered by the mind.

dare me and it will come true =]

    lmao

  • How does wireless electricity effect cellphone signals and other types of wireless communication?

  • @cringo123 ...Yes, it requires a power source on the transmitting side only...You could use a battery bank or a d/c power supply to do the job...

  • Great

    - Are you using 22 gauge solid PVC insulated copper wire? I could only find in 100 ft length, guess I could need total of 400FT as they need to be wrapped 50 turns 2 wires together (bifilar)

    - where did you find plastic stands to wind wire 2 sets of coils

    - guess by 2-in hand you mean bifilar winding

    - 15V DC power pack, Can I use 2 x 9 volts. Not sure where do I find type of batteries you did show in video

    - Where do I find 12V relay (DPDT) 20uf electrolytic cap @ 200v
