How to: Installing Android Market and Launcher on Blackberry Playbook

This will show you how to install the android market on your blackberry playbook. This is a very confusing process and does take lots of time. Make sure you have blackberry os 2.0 beta installed on the playbook before you install this.

1)This link will show you how to root the tablet with dingleberry mod:

Watch the video above and complete the entire process
FOLLOW THE YOUTUBE LINK ABOVE FULLY AND COMPLETE THAT PROCESS BEFORE YOU PROCEED TO STEP 2 BELOW!! THE ABOVE PROCESS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT (I do not take any credit for the link provided above and is simply to enhance the simplicity of this tutorial)


2) Once you are done with that, restart the tablet and make sure you have JRE or Java runtime enviorment installed on your computer

3) Download DDPB and install it to your computer. This will allow you to install sideloaded android launcher on your rooted playbook

4) Download the Launcher.bar from here:

Ice cream sandwich launcher:

5) Plug in your blackberry playbook and run DDPB. Choose the Launcher.bar file and simply let the installer install it to your playbook.

6) Check your tablet and see if you have a launcher application in the app drawer. Open that and it should have the android market place in it.

@2011bite If you turn on your file sharing and wifi sharing, it will let you put your Playbook Password.

all i can say. lucky guy. i have been trying for 2 week and all i have done so far is get android launcher running, i have tried 4 different tutorial nothing is working. everytime the app market doesnt work.

@aka7minimouse Well it is on the android store so when we have os 2.0 im getting onlive straight away!!! lol time to play some crisis 2 on my playbook!!!!
