The Thin Line Between Love and Hate [[chapter 27]]

Nick POV
As soon as we got to the park I helped Angela out of the car and led her over to the swings. This was the same park that I first brought her too. She laughed when she realized where we were. These swings were where I realized that there was more to Angela than her bad girl attitude.

Angela: so what brings us here Mr. Jonas?

Nick: there is something I want to tell you.

Angela: Shoot.

Nick: Weve come a long ways from the first day we met. I mean we couldnt stand each other. Then I finally could stand you and you couldnt stand me. and then the day you became my girlfriend, was an amazing day. Because there was something about you that I couldnt stay away from. And you are an amazing girl. Im the luckiest guy and I guess what Im trying to tell you Angela is that, I love you.

She looked at me and a smile spread across her face. Thats a good sign right?

Angela: I love you too Nick.

I smiled and wrapped my arms around her. She let her crutches fall to the ground. I leaned in and kissed her and she kissed back and brought her hands up to my hair. I pulled away and laid my forehead on hers. I couldnt be happier.

Joe POV
I cant believe Kevin. I cant believe Kelsey. Is this why she didnt tell me she loved me? has she had feelings for Kevin? I dont know what to think anymore. I thought she really liked me. I noticed Amy sitting in a chair looking kind of distant. I went and sat by her.

Joe: Hey whats wrong?

Amy: same thing your upset about.

Joe: you liked him didnt you?

Amy: yeah, and I mean I was upset that he liked her, but to think that maybe she liked him made it worse.

Joe: I know how you feel. I really love her. But I cant be with her if she might possibly have feelings for Kevin. I have to end it.

Amy looked at me kind of shocked.

Amy: Dont break her heart. I couldnt stand to see her heart broken again.

Joe: what do you mean again?

Amy: Well there have been so many guys that have broken her heart. Shes been cheated on, verbally abused. There was a point where she went Anorexic because her boyfriend told her she was fat.

I heard that and I was angry. Kelsey was beautiful. How could anyone do that to Kelsey?

Amy: and there have been boys that stand her up, try and get one night stands, get her drunk. She hasnt had the best past with guys. You are probably the first guy that James actually approved of. Same with me and Angela.

I looked down. I didnt want to end it with Kelsey, but I dont think I could date her and know that she might like my brother. I stood up and walked to Kelseys room. When I walked in I saw that she had been crying. I felt bad, for what I was about to do.

Kelsey: Joe i-

Joe: um I think that we need to talk.
