Here's the full version of that clip, I posted in 2005, of linesman Ron Asselstine taking out that fan at the Boston Garden. It all starts from a non-call of a Paul Fenton highstick on Glen Wesley that leaves Wesley bleeding rather badly. If you haven't seen this clip before, you should, it's a must see. Here's the action of what leads up to the destruction of Bruin fan Frank Baro.

  • Good to know the refs always sucked. Talking about the call.

  • 5 and a game for boarding.

  • take em off the fuckin grid

  • Idiotic Boston fan

  • "It is an automatic call, but not in this instance." So...not automatic?

  • @Kfawal Back in those days, those wooden sticks hit you hard. There is next to no padding on those men (except the goalies). Any sport that has grown men hitting each other is ultimately dangerous.

  • Stay classy, Boston.

  • MAJOR! Hit from behind 2 minutes.

  • Hit by the Linesman---where was Ken LINSEman!

As for the fan---what an ass!

  • 5+20 boarding
