Salatu salam (Sala) - Maltepe mosque, Istanbul

Salatu Salam to the Prophet Muhammed SAW being called in the Central mosque of Maltepe, Istanbul, Turkey.

It is a tradition in Turkey to call the Salatu salam on Fridays before Jumuah, on any other festivals or just every day before noon.

i'm a turk and i'm from some dicipline of architecture. this mosque has been constructed in last decede and it's far away of the traditional ottoman mosque architecture. the proportions between minaret and roof are exaregated and very disrespectful to Sınan style mosques. Also this mosque is very unsucsessfull 'cause it cant unite jamaat under one single roof as god did to the pople on earth. lack of knowlage and philosophy created such a disrespectful building in the name of islam...

Yes, the quality is poor, but i din't have a camera to take a better video. The sala is very nice, I livoed it

Poor quality video. I checked this one out because my parents have a house near to this mosque. It's a lovely area of istanbul.
