It wasn't the right decission...but sometimes the best films are the ones that don't end the way we want it to... if they all end happily ever after there is no expectation for curiousity , contemplation, or conversation

In the end I view this girl's flight as that of an individual who, in the face of another person's very truthful and painful revelations about his own life, realizes just how many positives there are in comparison; the justifications for flight, although seemingly solid in the beginning, vanish in the face of real pain. What she doesn't realize is that in her urgency to return to that safe environment and away from the discomfort of his pain, she hurts him even more. But ignorance is no excuse.

I think this she realizes that she don't want to run away, and her family is not so bad after hearing his story. So while he runs away she is back in her family.

It can also be a figurative concept.. she comes like a 'summer breeze'. there may be no need for deep phsycoanalysis either. It can be the spur the moment. he questions whether he has actually met her. She can be a figment of his imagination for all he knows, guiding him, back to what he wants, etc. It seems she comes to him saying everything he already knows and wants to hear. its seems figurative externally, rising his submerged conscience to the surface

Look she realized that she was not getting on better with her family that day and the guy that he was not getting on the boat named "better" that day. Ultimately they realise the importance it had for both of them to start getting on better with their loved ones. Simply brilliant movie. There is no need for such deep psychological analysis. The theme of the movie is pretty simple.
