@NaomixLouise Well, I don´t know the Welsh language, so I can´t say whether the differences between the sung Welsh versions of the songs and the subtitles are big, but in the subtitles you can read the original English lyrics of these songs. They probably thought that translating the already translated Welsh lyrics back to English would have been ridiculous. And they were right. If the differences are unacceptably big, you should blame those who translated the lyrics from English to Welsh.

Does anyone know or can anyone make an educated guess whether Welsh is Gwion´s mother tongue? I´m from the Czech Republic and don´t know all the subtleties of the English language to learn it from the way he speaks English and of course I don´t understand Welsh al all. If I should make an uneducated guess I would say yes because he comes from an area where Welsh is widely spoken (Llandybie in Carmarthenshire).

@traditionalist94 I suspect Gwion is bi-lingual but may be speaks mostly english. This is based on one brief chat with his, very pleasent and educated, mother. She spoke with a welsh accent which was not as strong as some welsh people have.
Many schools in Wales aim for all pupils to be bi-lingual, and allow parents to choose welsh or english in the childrens first years at school. The second language is then introduced naturally.

@riftintimeandspace Sorry No, but if you go to the S4C website and search, you can down load an inferior quality version with subtitles in Welsh or English by clicking on the owl logo. (Only active in UK and until mid July 2010.)
