my son has cerebral palsy and down syndrome yet everyday he laughs and smiles

@Isochest I have yet to encounter such an environment... certainly the video here reflects nothing of an atmosphere of deference and respect... but more pity and self righteous smugness.
and how was I conditioned?.. pray tell
-
@lictor313 What do you know. How do you feel in an environment where disabled people respected? Do you feel afraid? Many conditioned as you are feel afraid.

LMFAO!

@coxianexpress1 one could argue that being euthanized would be the surest way to stop their suffering, one could also argue that death isn't the worst thing... far more inhuman and below dignity is to live as a pitiful outcast...
-
@lictor313 look, lets say your right ok, lets just say for a minute i agree with you, but these children and teenagers are here now, and unfortunately not all disabilities can be caught early on, they develope as the child grows. I appreciate the fact you don't like the kids upset and you believe the money could be better spent on other things, thats your opinion, but they are here now, living today, they do not need this sort of abuse.

@coxianexpress1 what makes me feel that they are pitied? have you bothered watching this video... the angst laden look on the look of one girls face, when she explains that no one likes her... you're just denying reality, avoiding whats right in front of you
-
@ashleywakfield well said :)

@lictor313 what makes you think they are pitied??? they are loved. Do you know anyone who has a disability?? if you do, take the chance and get to know them, i think you will be surprised at how much they can express themselves and have fun, even if it is in a different way. Btw, i recomend you don't suggest euthanizing children at birth again, I'd imagine there are some disabled people right now watching this, and i don't imagine that makes them feel good.
i have got disabilaty which is aurtisum and i know if you get all the help you need then one day theres chance they can become normal in to days life. i think you as parents do such a good job. i wish you all the best in world. just never give up becaues evey one can develop it just takes time!!
