@IZEASGT You're right. The inflection was always, "You are Number 6," and never, "YOU are, Number 6." People are trying to invent their own mythology.
@BaronVonSchtupp88 Judging from Fall Out's reputation, I don't think I'd take ANYTHING it "reveals" at face value. I'm certainly not willing to say that all the other No. 2s were doing it wrong.
The whole idea just doesn't pass the sanity test for me. If I wanted to say "You are, No. 6" (say, responding to "Who's at the top of the list of malcontents?"), it'd sound DIFFERENT. I can't imagine somebody meaning that with the vocal pitch changes the No. 2s use. So I can't imagine them meaning that.
@IZEASGT Leo McKern got it right the second time around in Ep.16. Most of the No.2's respond "You are # 6" with a flat reading. Leo here almost gives an ambiguous response in his inflection. The next time he appears, they must have re-done it because he says "YOU are, # 6" which is a big clue as to who #1 is, (revealed in Ep.17). Maybe the other #2's weren't supposed to read it so deliberately. Interestingly Colin Gordon says he's The new # 2" in one ep. and in another says "I am # 2"
I'm watching this in the Six of One order, I've just finished Many Happy Returns, and pretty much every episode I've made a point of listening to No. 2's response to "Who is No. 1?" I'm sorry, but I'm not hearing the comma everyone insists is there. It's just "You are No. 6," or (here) "You...are No. 6," or MAYBE once or twice "You are...(drumroll, please) No. 6."
Thanks for uploading this. I think this edited version of the opening works better then the one in the first episode
