This is a Psychology project for my Psychology 123 (Psychology of Parenting)class.

Text book used: The Process of Parenting by Jane Brooks

I hope you learn something about yourself and your loved ones.

Even though this video is from the western point of view I still believe that there are parts that someone from any culture could take out of it.

It took me 23 hours to find the pics, video, and organize the information from my book into a speech format.
That does not include the time it took to read two chapters of information.

I was up without sleep for two nights seperated by one day where I crashed out all day. My voice kept getting really dry so there are points where my voice drops a little. Plus I had a bad cold on top of it.

I have enjoyed making this video very much and enjoyed learning how to use windows movie maker.

thanks to all that watch and comments are welcomed and appreciated.

  • The video is good but I am unable to hear it clearly, if you know send me something about raising children developing a good personality and being positive thinkers.

  • I'm taking a Developmental psychology course this semester and if it will work out in my schedule I'll do a video on your request.

I will most likely however be doing something more early due to how school gets much faster after midterm.

I will however (when I remember I do so much running around things slip my mind a lot) I'll ask my Psychology teacher if she knows any good reference material for you to read to suite your needs.

Thank you for your comment and your input.

    it is appreciated.

  • Sorry this took so long for me to get to you.

I have had all my time taken up with school and other business that I've not done anything for youtube. here is what my teacher said though.

How neat that someone watched your video and asked for more information! A couple of books that I really like are P.E.T. (Parent Effectiveness Training)

by Thomas Gordon, and Children: The Challenge by Rudolf Dreikurs.

  • They

don't deal directly with developing a good personality or being positive

thinkers, but they do offer positive ways of raising children which lead

to the good personality and positive thinking. A happy child usually has

loving, warm, responsive parents who set standards for their children, and

have age- and individual-appropriate consequences for misbehavior.

  • YAAAY! My first 100 views!

my work on a new video has been halted because school is finals and getting the appropriate materials for the video has been difficult.

  • This is great! You should consider entering this in the Mom's Choice Awards Category #907: YouTube Amateur Video Production.

  • how would I go about entering this in the contest?
