@DeaconVerter not sure about your last statement; why would God (the God of the bible) ever call one to lie, cheat, steal and kill for no other purpose than "sin" in itself? You speak of our "humanity" in the sense that it is "our own", and not an aspect of creation itself; a gift of God. What is your basis? Friend, you need to understand; Christians don't believe we follow "whatever our religious leaders tell us is from God". We follow God's Word itself; the bible. (2nd Timothy 3:16).

What blathering bombast. Listen to this quote: you're "not a Christian"... "unless you say to the lord, 'whatever I discern as your will, I will do unconditionally'... This is just advising people to ignore their own humanity and completely submit to whatever their religious leaders tell them is coming from God.
Let's paraphrase: If God orders you to lie, cheat, steal and kill, Thou shalt comply! What's that? God wouldn't do that? Now you're judging God. Fail!
