I really hadn't played The QIX till a week ago.
I decided to program something like a game I remember I played at the beginning of the 90's or late 80's in the PC of a neighbor. It had no bitmap graphics, only vectors, monochrome screen, and it was multiplayer. We played 4 people on the same keyboard, each one controlling his own vector for filling the screen (no internet still).
Asking about it in internet, I was told about The QIX, and... That's it! A clone with the mechanic of the QIX but for multiplayer.
So this is what I've done, though nowadays it's rare to find 4 players around the same keyboard as in that times where there was few computers.
Another clone of the QIX with some variations. Still not finished.
*Note: the game screen is a square, so at the video is distorted.
Programmed with Python-pygame
Music using the original QIX game base samples.
