This Song is taken from their Debut "Deep Sea Skiving", which was released 1983. It is written by S.Dallin, S. Fahey, K. Woodward and R. Hodgens. Hodgens was at that time the boyfriend of Siobhan Fahey, one of the Bananarama girls. He later made an own version with his band The Bluebells.

  • Is it just that i'm way too young. I didn't even know bananarama originally recorded this! It was only 2 weeks ago when we were playing the Deep Sea Skiving lp at work I then suddenly realised.

  • I dont mind the bluebells cover of this ... but my heart belongs to the banarama original version ... deep sea skiving is a terrific album its a shame they are more remembered for their SAW produced tracks

  • oh my goodness.....definitely prefer the Bluebell's version of this.....this is just hideous ;(

  • Isn't the video just a mash-up of several Madonna videos?

  • ¿Esta debe ser de las primeras, no?

  • sara dalin siobbhan fahey and karen woodward wrote this song hodgens name was miscredited though his groups version sucks ass the girls got them beat

  • this version is alot better than the bluebells version their version sucks ass go girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Poor Siobhan... the Bluebells reached bigger success with this song and Marcy stealed the lights at the Shakespeares Sisters.

  • @LondonUnderground186 This version preceded the Bluebells' version and was co-written by one of the girls (Siobhan Fahey).

  • hmmm... just discovered this. All credit to the girls for this but I prefered the Bluebells version.

  • fantastic verdion- by far the best. Finest girl group ever by a million miles !!!!

  • I never understood how those girls could have so much success with just singing what others composed before. The rhythm of their songs is simply annoying

  • it must have been great to have been part of this band in the 80s

  • I think this is proof that the original isn't always better. The Bluebells version brings out the meaning in this song and just generaly sounds awesome... this just hurts my ears.

  • I remember seeing Mac trucks like that everywhere in the '80s and '90s; it always seemed annoying the way the cab was off to the side. You hardly see any of them now.

  • @Jim987445 This one came out BEFORE the Bluebells covered it. I think many prefer the Bluebell's version of this song?

The whosampled website tells you who covered whose songs.

  • it's hardly the same song as the Bluebells version. What a piece of shit this is!

  • @technohog of shit

  • what a croque

  • OMG.

  • i always hated them this is a good song though

  • AWFUL. *goes off to listen to The Bluebells version*
