Yes Máire is Enya's sister. She is Máire Ní Bhraonáin and Enya is Eithne Ní Bhraonáin.. They both from Gweedore, County Donegal in the northwest corner of Ireland..!

bigsteve, see above reply--The Wild Cry is (in my opinion) the most beautiful Clannad song. I don't think it's on Youtube yet (hint, hint, anyone?). Another is Gaobh ara na dTonn (sp?), off of Clannad 2. I think there is a Youtube of it. But when I heard her do it live, it was twice as good.

Oh, the most beautiful thing is to hear Caislean Oir, and then the song that comes after it, The Wild Cry--that is, hands down, my favorite Clannad song. I know Clannad were probably thinking of Ireland's coast when they wrote it, but it always reminds me of my dear California coast. Wonderful!
