I was raised in Canada in an Irish immigrant family, like Shane McGowan was in England. Regardless of where one is raised, our culture stems from our family, our heritage.

Don't be so pompous as to deny ones culture simply because of the nation they grew up in. I've a Sri Lankan and an Indian who live beside me. We are all Canadian, but in the same way, we are all part of the culture we derived our life from.
