To do it Press Ctrl, Alt and Del keys together. Otherwise right Click on the Task Bar at the bottom of your monitor Screen and select "Task Manager" to open the Task Manager dialog box.

In the Task Manager Click on the Applications tab on top to view all the currently open applications or software. Click on any of them and then click "End Task" button in the bottom to stop it.

If it fails then click on "Process" Tab on top and look for the application you want to stop running or the program that is not responding. This program not responding will usually have 100% or close to 100% CPU being used. Click on that program and then click "End Process" button. If it disappears from the Task Manager dialog box then the program has closed.

When ever you find your computer running slow there has to be a program that is using full CPU power up to 100%. You need to stop that particular program, software or process to speedup your computer. Some times these programs start up with computer and use up 100% CPU power. In such cases open your Task Manager and stop that particular program using your full 100% CPU power to Speedup Your Computer Performance.

well i just restarted my cpu cause i had that virus for a virus Protection bullshit.. and now it wont allow my cpu almost half the time says that the program i use isnt responding.. its makeing me mad and was wondering if theres any way to a 100% fix it... if you kno how.

I always have task manager out in case this happens but I go to movie maker and after one edit it freezes again. I half to restart my computer somthimes.
