Looking back; The North Norfolk Railway Autumn / Winter 1996.
The last in a series of uploads taken from my 1996 archive.
The movie contains series of clips recorded between October and December 96 and features Hunslet J94 No 3809 and Hunslet 16" 1982 'Ring Haw'. (My apologies for the noisy zoom and auto focus)
Thanks Steve.. Yes; memories of the NNR in the 90s are all good!. I understand that 3809s overhaul at the GC should be complete sometime in 2012! Don’t know where will finish up though.. Cheers Peter

Fantastic video, another brilliant one.
It's great to see archive footage of the NNR.
Good to see 3809 as well! That was a cracking loco, a favourite of mine when I was little in the 90s, shame it's not operational or at the NNR anymore...
Again, brilliant video.

Thank you Bob… Yes it was the day after Boxing Day 1996 and I remember waking to find it snowing heavily. As a video novice I couldn’t resist the temptation to try my luck in total white out conditions. Unfortunately the intense cold eventually got the better of me and forced a premature return home immediately after shooting these clips. I have to say I was more than satisfied with the results. However; I can’t say I’ve ever been tempted to repeat the experience! …. Thanks again… Peter.

I loved the detail shots at the beginning Peter, but those snow scenes at the end were fantastic....the superb camera skills aren't learned, they're just there....enjoyed every minute...Thanks again...Bob
