Almost 30 years later we hear this and think "what superbly crafted & original music". It's hard to believe that this was the "pop" for "the kids", can anybody image this sort of stuff being sold to 8 years olds now? I'm so greatful I was there to experience the 80s & 90s first hand, it will never happen again

I always look towards a guy called Stuart Goddard who led his musicians. Album was probably recorded wearing t shirts and jeans and Adidas trainers lol. Five Guns West is one of his greatest tracks: D

@Kelly14UK i agree! dont get me wrong i LOVE him and his musc too but it wasnt the best! loved the coat but the rest wasnt that great!

@RetroCool73 Totally agree. I was 9 when I bought KOTWF in 1980, and then PC the following year. The diversity of writing on both albums was not lost on such young ears. I just didn't stop listening to them, Dirk Wears White Sox too, & I remember my Mum being a little unhappy about some of the content on that record. Now at 40 I've started listening to this music again and realised that I remember every lyric and note. Like you say, the idea of this being kids music now is unimaginable. Superb.

@adamismyprincecharmy Despite this period I perservered and would get slagged off by the Black Sabbath kids. I only slowed down after Vive le Rock and still kept going back. Stand and Deliver was so coooooool lol!

@Kelly14UK I tend to agree with you. I loved Adam's Prince Charming costume, but never like the makeup or hair. Stand and Deliver look was much better :-)
