Funny bluegrass love song that Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion chose to sing on their Valentine's Day 2009 broadcast. Hear more from our CD "Creature Comforts" at http://www.highdesertband.com

  • how sweet!

  • Brilliant

  • Would you guys ever consider posting the chord sot this song. I have recently become very interested in bluegrassy/ folky fun songs. I am not too skilled but any chords if possible would help. thanks.

ps i am totally sending this to my girlfriend

  • Wow! Good song!

You are so lucky to that kind of wife!

  • @skrubal1 My copyright is two years old no issues. If I make a million dollars (HAH) and someone turns up with the same or vastly similar song, well who knows. But it would have to be the same, not just a similar concept or chance turn of phrase.

And I'm glad you like mine best! Thanks, Randy

  • @highdesertband Our new CD "Creature Comforts" is now available to listen to on the official highdesertband website.

Taters is the first track, all slicked up and mastered. I hope you'll give it a listen.

  • @skrubal1 I wrote this song about 2 years ago and had no concious influences other than the words popping into my head as I thought about my wife and food. It must be nearly impossible to invent a completely "new" melody or chord pattern, so everything will sound like something done before. The turn-around is pretty cliche and must have been done in hunreds of songs.

  • now this is a definition of a real song. straight from the heart. great job!!!

  • I know this guy, his sentiment is fer real!
