It's designed completely by a former Rover studio in Britain,and also tested trial-manufactured by the SAIC birtish branch.They're all hard-woking able british people.Talking about where the car is being made,then one third of the world's BMWs are chinese car,for they're produced by Brilliance anto company in China.

This car was the Rover 45 replacement. Designed in 2001, it never got off the ground whilst Rover was British due to lack of funds, SAIC led Rover up the garden path by promising the funds in exchange for Rovers design knowhow. Once they got the designed and intellectual property rights from Rover they dropped them like a ton of bricks. Nanjing bought Rover for £53 million and SAIC merged with Nanjing, so in the end SAIC got what they wanted. However, the car is dated by 2008 standards.

@warset I believe they are going to make these cars in Rovers UK plants again for the European Market but will use the MG name.

cuz this car was the british rover...
chinese SAIC bought rover and MG, and renamed it roewee because ford motor at the same time bought the name "land rover", so SAIC had to rename the british rover brand
