Many of you have asked whether or not it's best to "specialize" in just one area of photography. Well, we don't have the right or wrong answer for you. The only thing we CAN do is show you examples of artists who have many different ways of creating a successful business...then let you decide.
Christopher Peddecord is a professional dancer and freelance photographer specializing in creating dance imagery. Peddecord formerly danced with Salt Lake City's Repertory Dance Theatre having previously trained with the Antelope Valley Ballet and Ben Stevenson's Houston Ballet Academy. His career and training in dance combined with his own choreography helps him to create unique and original dance photos.
This local photographer is unique in many ways. 1. He's a dancer. 2. He's a photographer. And 3. He a dancer photographer.
Dancers love working with him because they trust his instruction. And Peddecord loves photography because he shoots what he loves; dance.

Hi guys! I usually use my Einstein 640 around 1/4 power which gives me some crazy short t.5 duration which isn't really worth worrying about. The t.1 is more important and is around 1/3000 at that power. X-sync on my camera is 1/250. I used a 60" Photoflex for the shoot and later the PLM which wasn't part of the [FRAMED] portion of the show. Hope that helps!

@garym5 The flashduration is 1/6000. The syncspeed can still be 1/250 or slower. @f16 (or what he shoots at) there will probably not be any ambient light anyway.
