Santorini is famous for the sunset at Oia. Naxos's equivalent is the sunset at Palatia. Tourists and locals alike swarm to the islet for strolling and photograhing. The sunset over Apollo's Temple ruins is no doubt the most photographed theme on the island of Naxos.
I filmed this video on August 24th 2001 (sic) with a handheld digital camera. On the next day, I mounted the camera on a tripod standing on the rim of the hill of Grotta, on the opposite coast of Naxos, for the complimentary long shots [two of them included in this video].
I edited the video with a cut-to-cut approach using Adobe Premiere Pro v1.0. On the master out I inserted a "Dynamics" effect [compressor/expander/limiter set at minus 6db].
Oh, honeymoon on Naxos in 1982! -I can only imagine Naxos in 1982!
Now it is popular among -foreign mostly- couples to exchange their vows on this scenic ancient-temple islet, instead of plainly performing their civil marriage ceremony at the Town Hall!

I had my honeymoon on Naxos in 1982 - you could watch the sunset without car alarms, and mobile phones going off. Many stones from this temple are built into several houses in the old town. Nice posting, thank you.

I guess "producer" describes me better!

Are you a director?

Thank you for your comment!
The monument, Apollo's Temple that is, has recently been fenced off. So, don't worry, no more people walking on the ancient stones! Only harmelessly enjoying sunset views and photographing!
