In far north-east India, Australian evangelist Bill Newman walked into the most powerful, sovereign move of God he had ever experienced in over 30 years of ministry.
the further you got from the true God, the greater your awakening. when the true and living God calls on the unbeliever's heart, and humbled himself and accepted Christ, it is a great joy in the heavens... for the lost has been found!
@Aslan7is7alive India and china were prosperous civilizations much b4 europe. obviously christianity had no role to play.
wat managers? xplain how cud there be an industrial revolution without scientists.
perhaps Newton's name is taken too often by christians bcoz he was a major exception. in general scientists and religionists cannot see eye to eye. the question is- why? plz find out.
@Aslan7is7alive Jesus took our punishment. Also the punishment we probably deserve now. And He died because of taking our punishment. He also was gracious to the murderer. I hope people come to Jesus because of Jesus and not because of my (possibly partly tactless) messages on youtube. And not because of my imperfect behaviour in traffic (and things like that). Because if they'd look at that I'd rather not tell them I am a christian. Now I can only (try to) tell them who Jesus was and is.
@Aslan7is7alive Mind u: I don't say America did this. I say Europe and the English colonist (later America) did this. Among them were christians, but I don't believe all of them really were. I think Gods grace is much more stronger than people like martyrindia think for his (christian) children, but also to atheists. Don't forget: Ruth was an immigrant, Maria Magdalena wad a payed pleasurer (don't know the respectful word, sorry) and there are others.
@martyrindia America didn't (unfairly) kill all the Native Americans and captivated the others?? That's big news to me! Brick to brick working? Without wars, without finding gold and without slaves (although these possibly were only europians)? If people (among whom christians) would be punished for their sins now (and through economy) God would probably be very late. Why leave those sins (abortus of whole slave populations and Native American groups) unpunished and punish for decline of church.
@auno123 actually no: Europe was very wealthy before the industrial revolution (however I agree to the question: was this because of christianity). The industrial revolution wasn't brought about by scientists, but by managers that began to use their machines and inventions. And NOT all scientists were against church. Newton is a scientist that wasn't against church, but we christians probably use his name too often. But still. Perhaps Newton was from long before industrial revolution, but still.
