RahXephon - Haruka and Ayato - It's all coming back to me now

This is my second AMV so far :) I LOVED working on this one because the song is awesome and the series is amazing. So it was no biggy to look at the scenes over and over :) I used the Meatloaf and Marion Raven version of the song because you totally need a duet for this AMV. Plus I always liked that version better. Anyway,

This is a compilation of scenes from RahXephon showing the story of Haruka and Ayato. Ayato grew up in Tokyo Jupiter, so because of the time delay, when he comes out of TJ, Haruka is 12 years older than him :(

Fortunately, at the end of the series (and at the end of my MV) after merging with the RahXephon, Ayato "retunes the world" and restores the lost time between the two of them (awwww!)


The usual legal stuff applies. I do not own RahXephon, Meatloaf, or Marion Raven. If you want me to remove it and you have that authority, tell me please.

I still watch this movie once or twice a Week. Its really good... You have to love Haruka and Ayato in this video... Still one of the best ones I've ever seen.

Oh thank you so much! I'm glad that you like it. To this day, it's still probably my favorite MV that I did. Well, it's a tie between this one and the most recent MV that I made......this one, I think that I like better simply because it's shorter. The other one is 7 minutes long, and most audiences don't have that kind of patience heh

oh come now.....just do the anime industry a favor and buy this series. Hell, it's only 7 discs long. I think I got the entire collection for like 50 bucks. Or netflix it. Trust me. It's a work of art. You don't look at the Mona Lisa on a webcma or play a video game to climb the pyramids of Egypt, do you? Buy it, watch it, trust me :) I've even gone back and rewatched a few choice eps it's so good. It's probably my favorite anime series thus far.

okay question. If the girl in the yellow dress is Haruka when she was younger. Then how come she has different hair color when she was older then when she has brown hair when she was younger?

I imagine that I would have to read the manga series for a little bit more detail on the matter, but - notice the part I put in at the very end. The young Haruka in those few seconds has the same hair color as the older Haruka - so when things were not messed up by the MU, everything was in order. I think that maybe the brown haired Haruka - referred to as Mishima, was a somewhat distorted memory on Ayato's behalf since the MU wiped everyone's memories....so a distorted Haruka could slip by.

This was one of the most movie romances I ever witnessed in Anime, I could feel the pain and devotion of Haruka. It was truly touching

I didn't even know this song existed until yesterday, and today I stumble across this! Incredible luck! :D RahXephon is one of my favorite anime series, and I'm so glad I found this. It's old but thanks for making it - great work.

This series was just recommended to me by a fellow anime fan, and I have to say I was very pleasantly surpirsed. I liked how the story focused on the human factor vs the mecha and the music was very soothing too. I think on parts of the story telling it beats Evangelion. I would say the Eva is the Flash and RaeXaphon is the substance. Good Vid by the way.

@Cherriedesu I know you posted this some time ago, but the changes done to females in anime's aren't too different then girls in the real world. It can be put in numbers how many more times women change their look in relation to men who generally might get fat or bald but generally keep the same style and look. Us women will one year have long hair then the next day, you'll see a girl with short hair boasting she finally did it and realize who it is.

I love Ayato and Haruka but I love Ayato and Asahina together aswell. Too bad Asahina never gt a true happy ending.

Hehe ironically this makes me wonder if there really is a soulmate for all of us. What eally moves me from this story is that she waited 12 years to meet him again and all they went throught and in the end they end up as a happy husband & wife story...very touching ndeed.
