Actually, you are talking about elephantiasis.
Podoconiosis is a nonparasidic form of elephantiasis caused by contact with soil containing clays and metals associated with vocanic activity.

actually, the name "TOMS" is the result of the company name "shoes for tomorrow" being shortened to "tomorrow's shoes" being shortened once again to "TOMS". they guy who started the company is named blake mycoskie, and there really isn't a tom at all :D
