The Connaught Refurbishments to The Hunslet Club

Christmas 2008 saw The Hunslet Club shortlisted for a public vote on 96.3 Radio Aire for a community facility to receive a Christmas present from Connaught in the shape of over £25,000 worth of building refurbishments.

After a spirited campaign the club won with over three times as many votes as the other competitors combined and as a result has seen its changing rooms, hall and stage floor refurbished. As you will see from this film, they put in a lot of hard work and the results look fantastic.

To anyone who voted for us, Connaught & 96.3 Radio Aire, thank you very much. Your support of the clubs' work means a great deal to us and the young people who come here.
