    Engine

  • @Annihilator1111 : was the Megane assembled in Turkey good ? I mean, my father owns a 2003 Megane Classic 1.9 dci , where was it assembled ? ( because on some pieces stays written : Turkey, on others France..) and he bought it brand new , it was on of the last cars at the dealer....

  • the 1995-2002 Renault Megane was assembled in

    Bursa, Turkey

    Envigado, Colombia

    Córdoba, Argentina

    Douai, France

    Palencia, Spain

    Moscow, Russia

    Cuernavaca, Mexico

    Jakarta, Indonesia

  • @Drag0nXxX i said nothing about money. i said renault is cheating. they almost completely used crumple zones at 64 in order to lesser the g forces on a driver/passangers. above that speed, safety cage is compromised and that is unacceptable for a car company that calls itself safest autocarmaker.

    /watch?v=1MsqJFoWSjI - a pillar was shot.

    /watch?v=1TNFDeK6GLE - golf mk5 at 100 kmh. that's like double the forces of 80kmh.

  • @Areoplane7 i am agree that volvo makes good and safety cars but i can't agree that renault is a bullshit company, they have good cars for their price (probably u can buy 2 renaults with the money spend on one volvo)

  • sorry, if i knew where to llok i'd already have the links for you.. i saw laguna 100kmh test- as in best ncap car 100kmh test in an autoblic- car magazine and volvo in a crash_test tv show few years back. just compare laguna 2007 and s60 2001. laguna has better marks, but she uses more of the crumple zones than s60. check them out. ncap renault laguna 2007, volvo s60 crash I. II. III.

i dont see any point in it? or you mentioning it now? wtf? old vs new? obious.

  • @Areoplane7 where could i watch that video of the new laguna and the volvo? that will be very interesting...

did you watch the crash between renault modus and volvo wagon? you could find it in youtube with the name "renault vs volvo crash 5th gear" and this video show another important item to consider in the safety: a new car is safer than an old car, even when the old car was the best in its time and the new car is only a regular safety car...

  • @fuzter2007 ncap hasnt got different crash measures for cheaper or more expensive cars. they are the same and renault is cheating. that's the reason i posted my comment. there is a video crashing a new laguna into a ncap wall at 100kmh, passanger cell was destroyed. there is also a video crashing a volvo in a wall at 100kmh and it scored a bit worse than at 64 kmh offset. safety cant be measured in price. a car is either safe or not.
