To help cut our costs and keep customer prices as low as possible, SRP is extending the tree-pruning period for distribution power lines that run through neighborhoods from two years to three years.

SRP prunes trees to maintain a minimum distance of 10 feet between tree limbs and power lines. This prevents tree limbs from coming in contact with lines, which can create public safety hazard and cause power outages. The amount of pruning varies based on the growth rate of individual tree species.

  • Please be assured that our tree trimmers follow all OSHA regulations. The tree trimmers in the video are wearing waist harnesses. It isn't visible in the video, but the harness is attached properly.
