I hated this fucking level so damn much. My only consolation was that whenever I actually finished I felt a level of happiness unlike I never felt when I accomplished anything else. I also wondered what was it with the tentacle rape death referrence.

I still have my nes and the game, but never got past that stage. It was horrible ! Now, we're just getting easy games to finish and i miss playing it. Oh well, time to bring my nes out !

This is the sole reason of why I now have a phobia of water stages and timed missions in games. Thanks, Konami!

i always used raph and mike on this stage since they were utterly useless on the normal battle levels. didn't really care if one of them came close to death, which was usually the case

As far as this level, I died a lot, thus began my abhorrence of water levels in video games. LOL

I'm guessing you put in the cheat to level select. Because how did you manage to get all your Turtles to have full health, despite going through all the other levels with all the enemies jumping at you?

@throwaway0 not sure why your comment has -3 votes, because the game was actually pretty terribly made. The reason it was so hard is because it was so bad. The control was so horrible. Hell, watching this video you'd think I was running into things on purpose and had poor reaction to everything going on, but it is just that the control sucks so bad.
