You know that part where it said DSL in ASCII characters? Welcome to DSL? Mine gets stuck at that screen. No words, just the Linux penguin and a blinking "awaiting input" cursor. Help??

hia i have a question (i hope you will see i have dsl installed on my usb it is working and all, only when i run the dsl.bat file my pc says the program doesnt respond, i have win 7 so maby the drivers are to new and will this work on a pc xp?

@kjah11 Dsl needs to boot before windows starts. With the dsl usb drive plugged in, boot your PC then look on your bios post screen for a boot device selection menu. Usually its Esc, F11 or F12. Then select your usb drive then DSL should boot. You can boot DSL in windows through emulation but thats a different story.

thx will see if it workes i use it for school anyways and it runs on the xp pc's there so i'm good :D
one more question becouse it runs via the usb ic couldnt see any programs that are on the xp xomp can i ?

@kjah11 Its a totally differnt OS you won't be able to run installed windows programs through a live linux session that easy. It is posible to run windows apps using the Wine emulator.

With 256mb Ram you could probably run Puppy on that setup.
