@bradtaylor32 What...but...can't...REALLY? You're crazy! "Musicality is almost impossible to achieve on an organ with minimal to no enclosed divisions and small scale." Would you like to elaborate on that? I have heard TREMENDOUS music come from organs with no enclosed divisions, and even IN CHURCH. Reger would be tough without ANY expression, but the whole organ doesn't need to be in a box. The true musician makes music on whatever the organ gives them, as in this video- AWESOME.

Not sure why this comment is getting the thumbs downs. Musicality is almost impossible to achieve on an organ with minimal to no enclosed divisions and small scale. These kinds of instruments are good for Germanic/Italian organ music and little else. While they are more practical in concert hall settings, they are a church organist's nightmare in most cases.

Good luck! I'm turning 16 in a few days and was thinking about learning this piece...and maybe the Introduction, Passacaglia, and Fugue by Willan. It's awesome!

Wonderfuly done! I am 15 and i am learning this piece. I listen to this everyday as an example for regestration and the technique. Well done i cant say how much i love reger and what a nice organ to play it on. I will surly post this piece when im finished. Thank you!

That you are unable to appreciate this masterpiece, this superb artist, and this exceptional instrument is most unfortunate!

small scales and exposed pipework...bad combo. makes for a nightmare in keeping tuned and musicality.

I think it looks beautiful. Wabi Sabi.

Reger have to be played on late romantic organs, the dark romantic organ isn't enough for reger, you have to use also silver register's, this holtkamp organ is perfect for reger
-
It's a Holtkamp yes, but it started life as a Roosevelt so it still has it's redeeming qualities. And the video doesn't do the visual aspect of it as much justice as seeing it in person. Besides, you don't have to play it so why complain?
Great performance! I had the pleasure of playing this magnificent organ while studying at Syracuse. Thanks for sharing this clip!
