This is just gorgeous... Dessay is fantastic and it's all effortless to her. Love the way it's conducted... Why on earth hasn't this production been released on DVD!? Do you have more footage, if yes please please post! Many thanks

@64marc64 I'm not sure if it's available on DVD, but I know there is video out there of this full production from 1994 in Vienna, but with Bonney as Sophie. Unfortunately, the 2 clip I posted is all I have.

The only thing that bothers me every time I hear a live performance on video of this is I can ALWAYS hear the damn prompter when they whisper "zieht einter nach" - the ts of the zieht you can always hear, sounds like the soprano came in early, but it's the prompter whore underneath the stage!

Wow.. this is the first time I've seen the wonderful Natalie Dessay not move her hands that much. She should definitely have a rose in her hands every time she sings.
