  • This is a well stated sentiment! I wish more people would take the time to express their concern publicly like Kari Ann has done, and especially to our government "officials"!

  • Doc, MOST Iranians are NOT religious! I am an Atheist and furthermore, I am Persian, so, Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease spare me the Arabic term which is equal to Abra Kadabra to me!!!!! Sitting on our rear ends and hoping superman to have mercy on us is the worst form of pacifism!

  • My brother or sister, if there is one thing I have learned, is that I cannot speak for those in the center of the target. I support the struggle for liberty of your courageous nationals. My strongest prayers are for the most vulnerable in the struggle... the youngest and the oldest and those who will live with the scars of violence for the rest of their lives, no matter what roads of resistance are taken. B'ism'allah ar rachman ar'rachim. May God have mercy on us all.

  • @Penomee, asking the question "what to do" is not a terrible thing to do. Not doing anything about it, is a terrible thing to do. Iranians are already being killed. Therefore, some more dying for the sake of freedom is the least of their concerns. A government of brutal and blood-thirsty clerics must be weeded via a brutal force. That's the only way! By Iranians with the help of progressives from all over the world. Not confronting the tyrany is treason against humanity everywhere!

  • My brother or sister , many Americans are aware of the difference between the government and people of Iran. The terrible question is what to do. I cannot in any support a military attack upon Iran because of what would happen to the civilian population. And I totally and unequivocally support the hope for democratic freedoms the people of Iran so long for, and for so many years. I remember Savak under the Shah, and my question always is, "When will the agony of this people be relieved> And how?"

  • Dr. Owen, Most definitely I will write everything that I write from my own point of view! As Professor Chusky claims, there is some element of truth to each news. We need to be able to read between the lines. The issue is that as much as we may oppose Bush and his agenda, we cannot overlook the fact that Iranian Government is THE biggest threat to world peace. Iran needs to be separated into two camps, the government and the people, and the government needs to be dealt with.

  • Please tell me the answer from your own point of view.

    Sincerely,

    Dr. Kari Ann Owen

  • Dr. Kani, I am an Iranian American and with all due respect for you as an accomplished, educated, loving individual, I have to say this was one of the most naive piece of "literature" right from children's books. I am not a Bush fan, I consider him one of the biggest traitors for America and Americans ever. However, you have no idea who the Iranian government is!!! While you are riding your horse, they are scheming to destroy the world, yes, the entire world. If interested to learn, write bk

  • I am on your side.

  • Is there any way you can share my film with other interested persons in Iran? I want it made very clear that this American is completely opposed to any attack on Iran, particularly with nuclear weapons. Surely the difficulty between Iran and Israel has another answer other than nuclear war, or "conventional" attacks on nuclear facilities. B'ismallah ar'rachmin ar'rachim. May God have mercy on us all.

  • God bless You.

    God bless America.

    such an eloquent piece.

    - Payam from Iran.
