Israel deploys its first rocket shield near Gaza

Israel has deployed its latest defence against Palestinian rocket fire. It is called "Iron Drome" and is designed to track and blow up incoming threats in mid-air.




Tests of the rocket shield have been conducted in the wake of a recent flare-up in Gaza border violence




The first one has been placed just north of the city of Beersheba which has been twice hit by rocked fire. Residents in the city have welcomed the installation.

@TheCalculusMan were at least some 5 intermediate questions introducing then a sequence Un = a/2^n E(x.2^n/a) where x >0 n is in N to show that if f(a)=g(a) for a>0 and f>0 and g>0 for 0<x<a then f=g. Using reductio ad absurdum we then showed a certain set can't be void ... but that's too long to talk about here. It's not easy to come with the solution like that unless you're told to verify that x ->cos(a.x) and x->ch(a.x) are solutions (trigonometric identities). With x=y=0 you show f(0)=1 (ignoring the identically null function). Using x=y and x=-y you show f is even using the two resulting equalities. You then establish a recurrence relation between f((n+1).x), f(n.x), f((n-1).x) and f(x) (easy). Of course when I did it there
